It turns out that when the Old Chief is alive, he arranges a marriage between Official Pei and Ning Yuan Zhou. However, due to Ning Yuan Zhou's imprisonment and exile, Official Pei is married to someone else. As Ning Yuan Zhou ponders how to reject her, Ru Yi appears, acting all affectionate. She grabs Ning Yuan Zhou's arm, pretends to be his cousin, and deliberately calls Ning Yuan Zhou "cousin" while trying to provoke Official Pei to leave.
